How would I use Negotiable?
You can put the pieces of Negotiable together in many different ways—and your approach depends on what you want to accomplish. You could opt for a
quick take, spending an hour or two watching a few videos, reviewing some highlights, and using one or more worksheets that are relevant to a situation you’re facing. Or you could take a
deeper dive, working through materials over a series of days, weeks, or months. You can also use Negotiable as an
ongoing resource, returning to our tools and recommendations as bargaining situations arise as well as planning and tracking your own development over time.
You can learn entirely on your own. But we think there’s great value in teaming up with others and we offer a range of suggestions for doing so. One way to do that is to link up with a few people to form a Deal Team, learning and applying ideas together. Another model is mentoring, involving one or more discussions between a mentor and mentee, leveraging Negotiable’s materials. If you’re using Negotiable as part of an organization, a Group Leader may lay out a learning path for you to follow.
